    For the students it was vital that the IQ tests were given in different language so that you can get an actual representation of the child's learning ablility.

    Federal grants were given to special education teachers to better train them and also expand programs for students who have disabilities.

    Students do not have to have maximum support but need enough to benefit and be educated. This was found in the case where the court ruled in favor of the school.

    This is when "people first" language was enforced. They added autism and traumatic brain injuries as new categories of disability

    This reorganized the structure of IDEA and it required states to have interventions for parents before the process hearings
