    Working in an after-school program, I had to accommodate the different learning needs and abilities of my students in order to ensure everyone getting their schoolwork done and understood.

    As a teacher, I was invited to 5 or 6 IEP meetings my first year as a teacher. These meetings taught me a lot more about what really defines a disability, as well as how to tackle obstacles for specific students in the classroom.
