    Mills v the board of education was a lawsuit and an extension of PARC created to fight for seven students who were denied education. These students were being affected by potentially missing out on an education all together. The school board said that they had no funding or resources. The ruling was that the school board find the funding and resources for disabled students. This now allows all disabilities the opportunity at an education.

    The parents of Timothy Smith petitioned the school district in cumberland RI. Timothy suffered from cerebral palsy and was denied funding for education through special education. The school stated they couldn't support children with Smith's emotional and physical disabilities. The ruling was that the school would have to provide support to Timothy and pay for all court fees.Any child now has a right to an education.

    Cedar Rapids denied Garrett the support needed to attend school. Because he was in a wheelchair and used a ventilator he needed a one on one which the school said they couldn't afford. Garrett was being denied an education unlawfully. The school was not following the guidelines of IDEA. The ruling was that the school had to provide Garrett the needs he required to obtain an education. His needs for an education out weighed the financial burden.
