The Romans take over Spain
In the year 19, the Romans were able to take most/all of the Spanish land. At the time it was known as the Roman empire and they were the strongest empire at the time. This period of time however, did not last long. -

The fall of the Roman Empire
In the year 500 the Roman Empire fell after a very long and successful reign. The visigoths eventually defeated the Roman Empire, leading to the fall. Even after the fall, not all of the Roman Empire fell, as some of the Roman Empire was still intact. -

The Visigoths fall
In the year 711, the Moors (better known as the Muslims) invaded the Visigoth empire. They were successful in doing this. They decided to name their new kingdom Al-Andalus. -

The Reconquista begins
People from the religion of Christianity start to slowly come into Spain. This was a move that would change the course of history as what happened later in time. Spain later decided to have its main religion be Christianity. -

The Kingdom of Aragon
In the year 1137 the Kingdom of Aragon was formed. It was formed from two different places, the county of Barcelona and the kingdom of Aragon. together they were the Crow of Aragon -

The Kingdom of Portugal is formed
In the year 1139, the Kingdom of Portugal was formed. It was formed on the Iberian Peninsula and played a big factor in history. Something includes, Henry the Navigator. -

Isabella I and Ferdinand II get married.
In the year 1469, Isabella l and Ferdinand ll get married. Doing this officially conjoined the kingdoms of Aragon and Castile. They were also devote Catholics and this played a big part in the Spanish timeline. -
1478
The Spanish inquisition finally begins
In the year 1478, the Spanish inquisition officially began when Isabella I and Ferdinand II decided to start doing something about the non-catholics. Their rule was, leave the kingdom, or convert to catholicism. People who converted were even still accused of not following the religion.
