Forbidden City
Created to be a place for the emperors to live. Finished in 1420 but started construction in 1406. 24 emperors lived there during the Qing and Ming dynasties. -

Ryoan-Ji
Located in Japan it is the most famous rock garden in the country. The garden is outside a temple. The temple is to practice Zen- Buddhism. -
Taj Mahal
Construction began in 1632 for the Taj Mahal. It was created to be a final resting place for the beloved wife of Shah Jahan. The structure is made of beautiful white marble. -
Red and White Plum Blossoms
This piece is watercolor, gold leaf, and ink on paper. The piece was completed in 1716 but began 6 years prior. The piece is Plum trees on both sides of the paper with a road splitting between them both. -
The Great Wave off Kanagawa
Although this work was completed in the year 1833 the piece was started three years earlier. The piece depicts a beautiful medium blue colored wave. It is large and it is racing toward what we can assume is a shore.
