In 1400 Machu Picchu, lost city of the Incas had been built as an estate for the Inca Emperor Pachacuti. which had been placed in the Urbamba valley in Peru. By learning this we where able to find out how the Incas had been able to build, and create tools. In which lead us to this day in time.

In between the years of 1475 and 1519 Vasco Nunez De Baldo was a Spanish explorer and conquistador, who had been the first European to see the eastern part of the Pacific ocean after crossing the Isthmus of panama overland. By doing so we where able to analyze the history of the Pacific Ocean.

in 1492 suger was introduced to Madeira and canaries. effectively starting the suger trade.

In the year of 1492 to 1504 Christopher Columbus was able to reach the main land of South america and in which he traveled as far south as the mouth of Orinoco River. However in doing this he was able to open up a passage way from the Atlantic ocean to the heart of South America.

In 1500 a Portuguese explorer named Alvares Cabral had landed in Brazil. By doing so he was able to discover new land and animals.

Pedro Alvares Cabral was a Portuguese nobleman, explorer, and navigator. His patron was King Manuel I of Portugal, who sent him on an expedition to India. Cabral took 13 ships and set off on the route of Vasco de Gama. He sighted land on April 9, 1500 and named it "Island of the True Cross."

Amerigo Vespucci in 1507 ha had used letters, and a German cartographer to make a new map known as South America in his honor. Now then it was important because it had been the first time that the word America had been put into print.

In 1520 near the beginning of Magellan's voyage he was one of the first captains to make it through the straight of Magellan ( near the tip of south America ). This is particularly hard because of rough waters and constant changing wind patterns.

In 1521 Cortez had been able to defeat the Aztecs the had conquered their capital. By doing so they created more land.

In 1532 Francisco Pizarro conquered Ecuador, but also was the founder of the city if Limpa. In which he was able to create new land.

The European country is based off of Spain. The modern day country is on Ecuador and Chile. This event is important for today's history because it had showed that in the year of 1533 Spain had controlled much of South America.

In 1535 Lima, Peru had been founded by Francisco Pizarro. In which by him doing this Peru had been created, but also if it hadn't you wouldn't of had the Volcano Eruption but also non of the other cause and effects of Peru wouldn't of existed.

In 1536 Buenos Aires, Argentina was established. In which the new town was meant to spearhead the Spanish effort to colonize the interior of South America. Doing so Argentina would not be apart of America as it is today.

In 1537 Asuncion, Paraguay had been founded. In which later on effected Buenos Aires in which had to be evacuated.

In 1540 Pedro de Valdivia traveled to South America and conquered Chile and became the governor of Chile for Spain. He marched across the coastal desert to northern Chile and on the way defeated a a large force of enemy Indians.

In 1545 Silver had been discovered in Potise, Bolivia. In which led us to discover when silver had been first recorded in history.

In 1550 African slaves had arrived in Brazil making them 38.3 percent of the population. However because of them arriving in Brazil it had grown population but due to this we have many other different variety's of music that had been brought to life.

In 1552 Cattle had been imported into Argentina. In which you where able to get milk and beef.

In the year of 1555 smallpox had reached Brazil causing people to have a fever, discomfort, headache, severe fatigue, and possibly some vomiting. Now because of this happening we are now able to prevent it from continuing, or getting worse in which it may be cured.

In 1555 British Pirates pillage Valparaiso, Chile. By doing so it had effected the people being robbed. Which then lead to economic problems.

In 1567 Caracas, Venezuela had been founded which had been one of the principal city's of South America.Then later on was able to create more land.

In 1571 the Inca leader, Tupac Amaru had been beheaded in which who had been of the last Inca Empire to ever actually rule his empire. Because of his death there had been no living Incas left to carry on that tradition.

Of 1577 in South America a man known as Drake, Francis had traveled around the world. In which had lasted from 1577 to 1580, but because of Drake, he was able to meet Queen Elizabeth the 1st.

In 1580 Buenos Aires had been re-established due to war early on. However it is a historical place in South America that had been able to bring tourists later on.

Walter was British historian, poet, and solder. He mainly is credited for increasing trade in the new world in 1585, with discovery's in south America. He was killed be King James I under treason in 1618.

In 1711 War of the Mascates begins in Brazil. In which had effected goods with some sugar cane owners. By doing so sugar and more goods where pushed around the world.

in 1728-1779 Cook traveled the world thrice. his voyage nearly the same as Magellans. He also was the first to prevent scurvy.

Charles a french mathematician, physicist, and geographer was sent to Ecuadoran to measure the equator with Louis Godinand and Pierre Bouguer, as well as a group guiding them. He traveled through the Amazon region mapping most the area. he finished his measurements by 1739.

1759 Spanish expelled Jesuits from Brazil. However by doing so no Jews had lived in Brazil making it one of the only places where Jews hadn't been allowed to enter.

A Persian neutralist and explorer who mapped most of central South America with his friend Amie Bonpland. He also explored the coast of Venezuela, the Amazon and Orinoco Rivers, and much of Peru, Ecuador, Colombia and Mexico 1799-1804.
