This was a huge purchase for america. They bought the land after they sent an offer to buy New Orleans, the french were weak from war and slave revolts so they offered to sell all of Louisiana. THe americans baought the land with 2-3 cents per acre and doubled the size of their original size. -
Stopping Slavery
Stopping slavery was a big deal. Lincoln got assasinated because of it. I choose this event because it changed america. -

The moon landing has opened many doors in the science community. This gave americans hope that anything was possible. Also this gave us an understaning on why things did what they did. -

I think this is an important event in American history because most of our lives today revolve around the Internet (sadly). The Internet makes getting information quick and easy, which everyone takes advantage of. -
Columbine Shootings
Numerous students have escaped from the east entrance and took cover behind a police car. The students tell the police men that the killers are walking around randomly shooting and throwing hand-grenades. -

The attack on the world trade center has effected the way we fly now and all the new security regulations you have to follow. This tradgety made people realize what is realy on the other side of the ocean. This also lead to our hatred against alkida.
