    It authorized the Commonwealth to regulate England's international trade. The cause was to bring in more money for Britain , the effect was to tax goods sent to and from the British colonies.
  • French and Indian War ends

    French and Indian War ends
    Great Britain and France war in North America. The cause was if the upper Ohio River was the British Empires of the French Empires. The effect was it helped lead to the American revolution.
  • Stamp Act

    The Stamp Act put taxes on stamps. The cause was Britain simply needed money. The effect was the colonists boycotted their goods.
  • The Boston Massacre

    The Boston Massacre
    British soldiers shot and killed several people. The cause was that the colonists were throwing rocks at them. The effect was the colonists getting killed.

    The British taxed tea. The cause was once again that the British needed money, the effect was that colonists dumped tea into the river.

    Protest on the Tea Act. The cause was the colonists didn’t like how they were getting taxed on tea, the effect was they dumped to into the river.

    Four laws passed by the British parliament to punish the colony of Massachusetts Bay for the Boston Tea Party. The cause was the aftermath of the Boston Tea Party, the effect was increased frustration at Great Britain form the colonists.

    Delegates from the 13 colonies(except for Georgia) met in Philadelphia to organize colonial resistance to Parliaments Coercive Acts. The cause was the Coercive Acts, the effect was they boycott British goods.

    The first military engagement of the American Revolutionary War. The causes were increased tensions through the years between the colonists and the British, the effect was 73 dead British, 174 wounded. The colonists has 49 men killed.

    After the First Continental Congress, after the revolutionary war had already begun. The cause was the Revolutionary War, the effect was taking steps towards independence.

    The first formal statement by a nations people asserting their right to choose their own government. Known as the birth of American Independence. The cause was independence from Britain, the effect was America’s independence.
  • Battle of Saratoga

    Battle of Saratoga
    a turning point in the American Revolution. Gave Patriots a major morale boost. The cause was to cripple the British in any way possible, the effect was an American victory because they killed more soldiers.
  • Winter at Valley Forge

    The birthplace of the American Army, they were taught how to fight like soldiers here. The cause was military training, the effect was a strengthened military.
  • Battle of Yorktown

    Battle of Yorktown
    British General Lord Charles Cornwallis and his army surrendered to General George Washington's American force and its French allies. The cause was that the Americans knew supplies were going to Chesapeake town. The effect was an American victory.
  • U.S Constitution written

    U.S Constitution written
    Written in Philadelphia to create a government. The cause was to give government enough power to act on a national level. The effect was a better nation.
  • U.S Constitution adopted

    U.S Constitution adopted
    Document was finished and official. The cause was getting the other state’s approval, the effect was New Hampshire became the 9th state to ratify the Constitution.
