  • Navigation Acts

    Parliament enforced acts to promote Britians empire and by restricting Colonial trade and decreasing dependence on imported goods, the colonist hated the acts
  • French and Indian War ends

    The war between the French, natives, and Britain resulted in Britain winning the war and a lot of North American land.
  • Stamp Act

    Parliamentary lost a lot of treasury from the war so theu taxed them on stamps, paper, documents, etc.
  • Boston Massacre

    British soldiers shot five colonists after they were throwing stuff at them and harassing them, and this lead to a stronger feeling for unity.
  • Tea Act

    Gave all control to British East India company, it raised taxes on tea and colonialist lost jobs, the colonist were mad and this lead to the Boston tea party
  • Boston tea party

    A protest that was against Britain taxes with representation. It lead to intolerable acts
  • Coercive/Intolerable Acts

    It was laws passed by the British Parliament in 1774 after the Boston Tea Party, which this angered colonist and lead to more colonial unity.
  • First Continental Congress

    56 delegates from 12/13 colonies gathered to attempt to boycott British rules.
  • Lexington and Concord

    They first battle of the Revolutionary War, fought in Massachusetts, British tried to seize guns and stop rebellion and it resulted to a American Victory.
  • Second Continental congress

    Delegates met to discuss about the war, they also made George Washington as Commander-in-Chief
  • Declaration of Independence adopted

    When the U.S got independence from Britain.
  • Battle of Saratoga

    It was a major turning point in the war for the colonists in the French also joined this lead to a huge moral boost.
  • Winter at Valley Forge

    American Continental Army made camp during the winter here. It was here that the American forces became a true fighting unit.
  • Battle of Yorktown

    Cornwallis and the British stayed at Chesapeake town, and because of this the French and Americans attacked them and Britain surrendered, (surrendered British government)
  • U.S Constitution written

    James Madison and other found fathers wrote it.
  • U.S Constitution adopted

    It was officially adopted in March 9,1789
