Missouri Compromise
This was important becuase it set a boundry for which states had slaves and which ones didnt. This brought a whole new way for the slaves to be kept in certain areas (mainly in the south) but also to be kept from the free states. -

The Monroe Doctrine was important becuase it could be part of a reason why the Declaration was still sucessful. Since they promised that the Euopean colonies wouldn't be messed with, there was a peaceful settlement with the rest of the colonies. -
