  • The Declaration of Independence

    The Declaration of Independence was written by Thomas Jeffereson. It expressed the thoughts and feelings of American people about King George |||. We wanted King George to know how we felt. This DOI helped Amercia immensly It hepled us be free from King George's ruling.
  • Creation of the Constitution

    The U.S. Constitution in the supreme law of the USA. It provides for increased federal authority while still protecting the basic rights of its citizens. The Constitution had many failed attemps. The U.S. Constitution has protected people's rights and it's also a blueprint for our government.

    The Industrial Revolution was the transition to new maunfacturing processes. It changed America forever. It shaped cities into what they are today, made lives a lot easier, and gave people the opportunity to have a job. More and more people started to come to the U.S. because of the Industrial Revolution. It was important because the population of America changed drarastically, the way of living changed for people, and our towns and cities are the way they are because of it.

    The cotton gin was invented by Eli Whitney. This invention seperated the cotton fibers from the seeds. People used to do this by hand and it would take forever to do and was very challenging. With this invention, it makes the process go much more faster then before. The invention of the cotton gin is important for U.S. history because it profitted the South tremendously since so much cotton was able to be used for different items.

    Indian Removal Act
    The Indian Removal Act was signed into law by Andrew Jackson. Andrew Jackson nogiated with the Indian Tribes in the South for their removal of federal territory that was west of the Mississippi River in exachange for their homeland. A few tribes went peacefully. However, the Cherokees didn't. They were forced out west by the U.S. government. Many people died along the way. The journey was called "Trail of Tears." This is imporant to Americnan history because it exapanded our land.

    Reconstruction was a time period where the United States began to rebuild after the Civil War, readmit conderate states, ended slavery, and gave ex slaves citezenship. It lasted for fourteen years. states. Due to the Compromise of 1877, Reconstruction ended. The Reconstruction era is important to American history because confederate states joined the Union once again.

    Battle of Gettysburg

    The Battle of Gettysburg was and still is the bloodiest battle in America's history. There were,approximately, 51,000 casualties. The war was fought between the Confederate Army led by Robert E. Lee and the Union army led by Genereal George. Both army's had different stratagies ,but in the end the Union was victorious. This battle is important to U.S. history because it was the turning point of the Civil War. It made the South give up the idea of invading the North.

    Chinese Exclusion Act

    The Chinese Exclusion act prohibited chinese immigrants from entering the United States. This law was passed because native-born Americans were worried about losing their jobs to immigrants. The chinese immigrants had it the worst because they couldn't come in the U.S. at all. This lasted for 10 years. After the 10 years, Chinese faced a lot of discrimination. The Chinese Exclusion Act is important because it showed that at one point in time America was extremely racist.

About 8.7 million Soviet soldiers died in this war. World War || is important to our history because it resulted in the division of the world into two competing political ideologies: Democracy and Communism.

    Apolla 11 was the first space flight to ever land on the moon. Passengers, Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin, and Michael Collins were the first humans to ever land on the moon. They achieved President John Kennedy's national goal of landing on the moon by the end of the 1960s. At 9:32, Apollo 11 took off from Kennedy Space Center. This event is so imporant to the U.S. history because without this mission, we wouldn't know a lot about our moon.

  • 9/11 Terrorists Attacks

    On September 11, 2001, at 8:45 a.m., an Airlines Boeing 767 loaded with thousands of gallons of fuel, crashed into the North Tower of the World Trade Center in NYC. It instantly killed many people and left a lot of damage. Eighteen minutes after that happened, another plane crashed into the South Tower. That also did a lot of damage. Over three-thousand people died and more than police officers and firefighters died. This event has helped the U.S. because it has made our country safer.

    Mount St. Helens Eruption

    The Mount St. Helens explosion was very active. There were several eruptions. However, they weren't very severe. These eruptions occured due to all the lava building up on Mount St. Helens' summit crater. This historical event is a rich part of our history because land that was once beautiful and amazing to look at is now permanetly altered and covered in ashes.
