    More info on the Stamp Act The Stamp Act was where everything having to do with paper was taxed. You had to carry a pocketbook that said if you paid the tax for that thing. You were given a stamp if you did pay for it. The Stamp Act happened because the British thought that they could get away with taxing the colonies so that Britain would have more money and power.The results to the Stamp Act turned into a boycott. The Stamp Act stopped in 1766.

    The actual News papaer accounts of the MassacreA British solider was standing guard when he recieved taunts from a citizen, the officer called for back up and as he did more citizens came out to fight him. The end result was nine Bristish soilders shooting at the crowd of citizens, killing five men and injuring others.

    A group of colonists boarded the ships and destroyed the tea by throwing it into Boston Harbor because the British government put a taxation on tea, so the colonies protested by throwing it into the harbor.

    The Battle of Lexington and Concord
    The colonists were trying to keep their military supplies safe from the British. The Massachusettes milita lost 50 people, 39 were injured, and 5 were missing. This battle was followed by The Battle of Buncker hill on June 17, 1775. The Colonists had a group of men called "The Minute Men", a secret group fomed to fight the British.
