  • SSUSD receives DOD technology grant

  • Rollout 1 of Chromebooks

    Chromebooks begin roll out to high school and middle school English teachers and to 5th grade teachers.

  • Smarter Balanced Field Testing

    Chromebooks utilized by students in grades 3-8 and high school to take Smarter Balanced field test.

  • Completion of Chromebook rollout phase 2

    Chromebook carts are now in 3rd -5th grade classes district wide. Carts are also in middle school and high school math and English classes.

  • 3 District Technology Project Teachers hired

    By the end of the 13/14 school year, 3 district technology project teachers will be hired to faciltate implementation of the DOD technology grant over the next two years.

  • Professional Development for teachers

    Teachers participate in online /blended learning during the summer to prepare for technology integration into the math curriculum beginning in the 2014/15 school year.

  • Ongoing technology support and instruction

    District project teachers provide training and classroom support to teachers in embedding technology into everday classroom practices.

  • Begin full implementation of Common Core Standards

    Full implementation of Common Core standards. Technology is integral to this process.

  • Revise District Common Assessments

    Work throughout the 2014/15 school year to revise district common assessments to reflect Common Core standards and 21st century technology skills.

  • CAASPP (Smarter Balanced) testing begins

  • District wide online common assessments

    In the 2015/16 school year a system of online common asessments will be in place district wide.

  • Continue revision of district Common Assessments

  • 1 to 1 technology district wide

  • Ongoing revision of district common assessments

  • BYOD

    Students are able to bring their own device for use at school.

  • Digital Textbooks

    Digital textbooks are an option for students.

  • Full K-12 Technology Integration

    Technology is fully embedded and embraced in district practice and culture. Teachers are integrating technology into all aspects of curriculum and instruction. Students are digitally literate 21st century learners.
