The Anschluss
Hitlers first strategy was to unify everyone in Germany under one empire. He created the "Third Reich" German Empire. He threatened invade Germany if the third part Naxzi troops weren't given important position. He then sent the troops who announced unifaction and Anshluss which was accepted by the Austrian people. -
The Munich Conference
Hitler next goal was to take Czechoslovakia. Czech people resisted him. So France and the Soviet Union were going to help the people incase Hitler tried to invade them. To avoid war with Hitler prime minister Neville Chamberlain gave him Sudetenland if he promised not to take the rest of Czechoslovakia. He later invaded and broke up Czechoslovakia. -
The Nazi-Soviet Pact
The Soviet Union negotiated with Hitler to keep peace while he was on his way to invade Poland. Germany and the USSR then assigned the Nazi-Soviet Pact. The Nazi-Soviet Pact kept the USSR out of war ony if Germany went to war with Britain and France in exchange for Poland. -
Danzig and the Polish Corridor
After Hitler invaded the Sudetenland, he then wanted to take anzig next. Hitler plan was to build a highway and railroad across Poland so he could connect it to Germany, Danzig and East Prussia. Britain and France said they would back up Poland if Hitler tried to invade and encouraged them to refuse Hitler's demands. -
The War Begins!
On September 1st, 1939 HItler finally invaded Poland with the Soviet Union attacking on the east. This was known as Germany's Blitzkrieg or Lightning War. Two days later, Finally Britain and France declared war on Germany. Each invasion tells me that Hitlers desires were to conquer the whole entire world and only have a race of people with white skin and blue eyes since he saw everyone else as inferior. From our perspective he seems to be a cold dictator who doesn't care for most people lives.
