    because of my reading skills being so poor till about the age of 15 I hated reading aloud. Whenever I had to read aloud in front of groups of people I would become very embarrassed because of how bad my reading was

    because I joined a team where we had to memorize information, be reading began to slowly pick up pace. My spelling also improved from not being able to spell past 3 letters to the sky is the limit

    when hunger games and divergent were all the rage, a friend of mine offered to loan me her copies of the books so I could read them. when I did I started off taking 2 weeks on the first hunger games book and ended with reading the last divergent book in a day. Once I realized how reading could teleport me to another world I was hooked

    now I can read for anything. I can read journals, articles, textbooks, fiction, newspapers, etc. I love reading because of how it can teach you so many things and open your mind up to so many things
