The actual Samsung Galaxy S5 was released April 11, 2014. This phone, in the picture is the one with only one button on the bottom. The Samsung Galaxy S5 Active was announced and released in May 2014, which was only a month after the regular S5 was released. The only difference in the S5 and the S5 active is the buttons on the bottom and the active may have had a few new features that the S5 didnt have and also the S5 was waterproof
