There are two stories of how Sacajawea died. One was from fever as it was written in John C. Luttig's journal. He wrote "This evening Sacajawea died of fever and left an infant named Lisette.

Another story of Sacajawea was that she left her husband and married Jack meat. She was called Chief Porivo and was a tribal leader. She died at age 100 and was burried at Fort Washake.
