  • Period: to

    Revelution

Revelution brings about a reversal of power in Rwanda; The Hutu majority seizes power from the Tutsi minority, which had been the favored class under Belgium cononial rule for more than a century.

  • More forces

Special forces in Somalia are engaged in a 17 hour battle with the ruling warlord. Eighteen U.S soliders were killed, and around 84 were wounded. Over 1000 Somalis were killed during the short yet very drastic and life changing time span. The U.S and other nations' troops soon retreated from the misson. Bloody cowards was what they were.

Hutu Militas disrupt the ceremony to install a broad-based transitional government.
  • Good plan or?

UNAMIR leader Gen. Dallaire sends urgent cable to U.N outlining Hutu plans to wipe out the Tutsis and his own plan to confiscate Hutu militia arm caches. He is told to not take action of his plan, everyone knowing that it would go past his peacekeeping ways, promises and orders, proceeding with his plan would've possibly caused more conflict instead of easing the situation. He was instead told to discuss the issue with the Rwandan and Foreign governments.
  • Out of control

Massacres, killing sprees, genocide, appailing behaviour and political assastionations are in action and get out of control in the capital of Kigali. Over in South Rwanda, opposition party members are targeted, whether they are a Hutu or Tutsi. Hutu extremists during the time have prepared specifically who to kill, what weapons to use, and even as specific as to where and when to kill Tutsis.
  • Passing of the President

The president of Rwanda, Habyarimana and the Burundian President Ntaryamira are killed when the Rwandan predident's plane gets shot down near the Kigali Airport. The killing began later that night.
  • Being prepared wasn't good in this scenario....

The leading Hutus set up raod blocks and their killing spree the've desperately wanted to start had now actually begun. Hundreds of people died on the first night of the cruel genocide act. Ten Belgian soldiers with UNAMIR, assigned to guard the moderate Hutu prime minister, are tortured and murdered. The prime minister's death is unfortunately successful.
