  • Treaty Of Paris

    This treaty ended the French and Indian War. This war was between Great Britain and France. France ended up giving Great Britain there territories in Mainland North America.
  • Proclamation Act

    The act was wrote by King George III and was important because he drew a line across the Appalachian mountains which did not allow any settlement past it.
  • The Sugar Act

    The act was about to expire and was renewed on April 6, 1764. Merchents were required to pay 6 pents per gallon under the Molasses act but changed because people were evading taxes and it was easier to get it from the english instead of the French West Indians.
  • The Stamp Act

    The Act was made by the British Parliament and forced American colonists to pay a tax on every piece of printed paper they used
  • The Quartering Act

    This act was put in place so British Soldiers could receive any needed accommodations from american colonies including housing.

  • Townshend Act

    Allowed Britain to tax items including lead, glass, paints, tea and paper that were imported to the colonies. All of the duties were eventually repealed besides the taxation on tea.
  • Boston Massacre

    A street fight that went down between British soldiers and a mob of citizens throwing snowballs, stones, and sticks at the soldiers. Several of the colonists were shot and killed by the soldiers.
  • Committee Of Correspondence

    It was a commitee established to help each other fight against Britain and exchange information with each other in order to win the Revolution.
  • Tea Act

    The act was put in place for the East India company to survive the struggles it was going through. It brought there tea in to Boston and almost forced the colonists to purchase there tea instead. They could directly import there tea into the north Americas.
  • Boston Tea Party

    Was a protest by the sons of liberty. The protest was against the taxation put in place from the Tea Act. They ended up throwing over 342 cases of tea in the Boston Harbor which made the Britain furious and led both sides closer and closer to war.
  • Intolerable Act

    An act put in place to punish the Americans for doing the Boston Tea Party. Bostons harbour would remain closed until restitution was made for the destroyed tea.

    Meeting between 12 of the 13 colonies during the early stages of the revolution
  • Lexington and Concord

    Ended up being the first battles of the American Revolution.

    was a battle fought really early on in the American Revolution and ended up with the British conquering Charlestown Peninsula
