Sugar Act
Actually called "The American Revenue Act" that put a 3 cent tax on foreign sugar. It affected the merchants heavily and they said they wanted to have control over how much they were taxed. -
The Stamp Act
The British Parliment were in debt and had to find a way to pay for it, so they decided to make colonial printers pay a tax on the paper they used. -
Boston Massacre
When a group of colonists threw snowballs at a group of gaurds, the guards got mad and fired into the crowd. 5 colonists were killed. -
Boston Tea Party
An event in which revolutionary colonists snuck onto a ship and threw the ship's cargo, crates of tea, into the harbor. -
Intolerable Acts
A series of different acts directly aimed at Massachusetts as punishment for the Boston Tea Party.

"Common Sense" was a pamphlet handed out to people that challenged the Monarchy of Britain and inspired people to fight for independence.
