    French and Indian War

    The British battle the French along with their Indian allies for land in North American for seven years. Spain was also included because they owned the territory west of Louisiana.
  • Period: to

    Stamp act

    Taxes were implemented on every printed good like newspapers. They would stamp it, notoriezing you paid the tax on it.
  • Townshend Acts

    Taxes were raised on imported good from Britain like tea, lead, glass, paint, and etc. They were only allowed to buy from Britain. It eventually lead to a boycott of British goods.
  • The Boston Massacre

    A roudy crowd was fired upon by an assembly of british troops. 5 civillians were killed. There were many different theories on how this happened, but nobody is sure.
  • Boston Tea Party

    Colonists dressed up as Mohawk indians with war paint and other accessories in the middle of the night and boarded ships in Boston Harbor. They smashed all the cargo crates and dumped everyone ounce of tea into the harbor, accumulating in around a grand total of $1 million in tea, wasted.
  • Intolerable Acts

    The Boston Port Act, Government Act, The 2nd Quartering Act, Justice Act, and Quebec Act were put into effect. These acts were set by the king, and extremely unfair to show the colonies that he meant business to try and get the colonists to back down.
  • Declaration of Independance

    The Declaration of Independance was signed and declared our succession from Britain.
