    The Stamp Act was a law passed by the Parliment of Great Britain the required all colonists to pay tax on all printed documents. This included legal documents, bills of sale, contracts. wills, advertising, pamphlets, almanacs, playing cards, and dice.
  • The Boston Massacre

    The Boston Massacre
    The Boston Massacre was a street fight that took place outside the Customs House in Boston between colonists and British Soliders. Colonists allegedly were throwing snowballs, sticks, and rocks at the British Soliders, and when one of the snowballs hit a British Solider, he discharged his rifle at the crowd, loined by other seconds later. Then wehen the smoke cleared, five colonists were dead. The soliders were put on trial, defended by John Adams, and two of the men were found guilty.

    The First Continental Congress was when all the colonies, minus Georgia, met to discuss a plan of action new acts passed by great Britian. These acts were called the intolerable acts.

    The Articles of Confederation was the first written goverment plan for America after it declared its independence from Great Britain. This document was adopted by the Second Continental Congress.
