    A force of about 700 british regulars were sent to destroy military supplies that were being stored in concord. The beitish forces were defeated and and were pushed back to boston by militia forces. Paul Revere famous for his midnight ride. Generals included gage and william heath.

The moved toward independenace, adoped the declaration of independence on july 4, 1776. Managed the war effort and acted as the government of what would become the U.S.A.
