  • Mayflower Compact

    The main purpose of the Mayflower Compact was to ensure the settlers who were on the Mayflower that when they arrived to Plymouth Mount that they would set up a fair and just goverment system that is ruled by majority.
  • Petition of Rights

    Petition of Rights
    Under the Petition of Rights, the subjects were granted protection of their civil liberties. Also, Charles the I signed this document.
  • English Bill of Rights

    King William and Queen Mary signed the English Bill of Rights. This document limited the power of the monarchy and gave more rights to the people including more personal liberty.
  • French and Indian War

    French and Indian WarThe major countries involed in this war were Britian, France, and the American Indians. Some major battles in this war were the Battle of Quebec, Battle of Quiberon Bay, and the Massacre at Fort William Henry. The British ended by winning this conflict. Afterward, since the British were short on money they decided to heavily tax the American colonies.

    The British in response to the Boston Tea party passed the intolerable acts. The British closed all of Boston's ports, allowed British troops to enter colonist houses, British officals to be trailed in the British court, and also restricted colonist town meetings.

    Some major people involed in this event was Geogre Washington, Richard Henry Lee, Benjamin Harrison, and Peyton Randolph. At this meeting, the group agreed to boycott British goods and pass regulations asserting colonial rights. They meet in Carpeter's Hall in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

    Colonial victory, start of the American revolution war. The major general involed in this conflict was General Francis Smith. Paul Revere rode into town and sounded the alarm to the colonia milita that the British forces are coming.

    This toke place in Philadelphia, Pennsylavania. Some ideas that came about this meeting was to establish a continental army and chose George Washington as the commander and chief. Some major leaders that were involved include George Washington, Ben Franklin, and John Hancock.

    Meeting held in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Start of the meetings to discuss the future of American and the type of goverment she will have.
