  • the French and Indian War

    The French and Indians go to war for land near the Ohio River Valley. Native American tribes take sides. The Indians win. Now, the French is in debt. The French and Indian war moves us closer to the Americn revolution by the French wanting the english to pay up the debt the war caused
  • Proclamation of 1763

    The Proclamation of 1763 was issued to stop British subject from settling on the western frontier. This brings us closer to the American Revolution because it made the colonists dislike the British more. The proclamation's significance was that the​ Native Americans had freedom but then the colonist settler west and removed Native Americans from their homes.
  • Sugar Act

    The Sugar Act was a tax on molasses. Molasses was used to make rum. Which colonists imported to countries such as Africa. The sugar replaced another act that was repealed before.The significance of the Sugar Act was that the colonists​ didn't want to be taxed for something so important in their finances.
  • Stamp Act

    The Stamp Act was a tax on newspaper, almanacs, playing cards, and dice. If you have bought one of these items you have to have a stamp to show it was paid for. The significance of the Stamp Act was so the colonists would pay for the debt the war caused Britain.

    The Townshend Acts are more taxes that were put on glass, paper, lead, paint, and tea. The acts were made to collect more taxes for England and their debt. The colonists didn't like this act because some of these items were everyday things like paper and tea. The significance of these acts were
  • Boston Massacre

    The Boston Massacre happened on March 5,1770. five people died that day. the soldiers shot 5 shots into the crowd becasue they panicked. Colonists were quick to protest what happened. they soon named this event the Boston Massacre. this led up to the American Revolution becasue this event kind of started all fighhting.

    since the British East India company found themselves in debt cause of alll the tea they were making. the PArliament made a tax that the colonists had to pay called the Tea Act. even though it was a small fee the colonists still didnt like the tax. this brought us closer to the American Revoulution because this led to the boston tea party.

    On the night of december 16 1773, some of the colonists dressed up as native americans and snuck on to a boat filled with tea. The colonists were angry at the british for putting tax on tea so they took the tea thatwas on the ship and put it all in the Boston harbor. They dumped millions of dollars worth of tea in the harbor. this brought us closer to the american revoulution by doing more protesting which led to fighting
