    This is one of the Acts that started it all. This act forced Colonists to purchase a stamp for each piece of paper they buy. The stamp was expensive, and was paid for with valuable silver.

    Due to Parliament ignoring their formal complaint, The Continental Congress created a Continental Army with Washington as the leader. They decided to print their own money, and they even started to handle their relationship with the Natives. They also created a Post Office for mail deliveries. They sent a petition to King George called "The Olive Branch Petition" where they asked for their rights to be protected. The King rejected this offer and hired German Soldiers to help his British Troops.

    Battle Of Bunker Hill
    The Battle took place on Breeds Hill, Not Bunker Hill. The Militia chose to go to Breeds hill against orders to protect their hometown of Charleston. Colonel Prescott told the Militia to not fire until they saw "The White of the enemies' eyes." The British lost 1,600 soldiers, and the Americans lost 30, but the Colonists lost due to a lack of ammo. This Battle, despite being a win for the British, gave them a wake-up call, Showing the British that winning the war would NOT be easy.

    Washington realizes that his men lack discipline and organization, which is not Ideal when going into a battle. Washington starts to recruit more soldiers, starts training them, and then realizes that his army is lacking firepower (Cannons) and realizes that he needs to go to Fort Ticonderoga and steal some cannons. He asks Henry Knots to lead his men there, which means that 8 months will pass, and the men would have to go over mountains. With cannons.

    After 8 months and multiple mountain climbs, Washington's troops returned with cannons. The British learn about the cannons and that said cannons can hit them, while they can't hit back. Washington allows the British to RETREAT, leading to an American victory.

    During this Debate on declaring independence, John Adams says that Thomas Jefferson should write the declaration of independence because Jefferson is from Virginia, the first American colony, because he is popular and likable, and because he is the best writer among all the delegates. Everyone elects Jefferson the writer.
