  • Proclamation of 1763

    Proclamation of 1763
    This proclamation did not allow colonists to settle west of the Appalachian Mountains. The British Government feared the conflict between colonists and Native Americans would lead to another war. They also could not afford to pay British troops to defend the western lands. Colonists were enraged by this proclamation because they felt that they had won the right to settle in the Ohio River Valley after winning the French and Indian War
  • Quartering Act

    Quartering Act
    The British wanted British soldiers to be housed. To provide them supplies, the Quartering Act was passed. This provided the soldiers with supplies.

    To raise revenue, Britain had to pass a certain act by Charles Townshend. It was called Townshend act

    Tea Act gave American Tea Trade control. 342 chests of tea have been dumped, This was called the Boston Tea Party

    Masachusetts had to be punished for the Boston Tea Party because they dumped so much tea down the Harbor and then they passed the Intolerable Acts.
