The Ploclamation of 1763
The marked the end of the French and Indian War. It was greatly celebrated by colonists and established three new colonies. -
The Currency Act
This is when colonists were having many currency cuts and shortages. They were losing money and gold. -
The Stamp Act
This period of time was when colonists were forced to pay taxes on paper, document, newspapers, licenses, and playing cards. This angered the colonists. -
The Quartering Act
This act was when colonists had to pay for their needs such as things like water, food, etc. -
The Sugar Act
This is when colonists protested to bring the tax on molasses down from 6 pence to three pence. -
The Declaratory Act
This act is when the colonists were to be more "secured" to the King of Britian as well as the colonists' rights. -
The Townshed Act
The reasoning behind the Townshed Act was for colonists to get more money depending on how much they worked. The more work they did, the more money they would earn for food and their families. -
The Boston Massacre
This is when five colonists were killed by British regulars because built tension between the two countires.
