Proclamation of 1763
Britian stopped people from expanding west. Colonists became anger because the already had land claims on that area -
Sugar Act of 1764
Officers would take goods from smugglers without going to court. This made people anger because they felt that their rights were being violated -
Currency Act of 1764
The government created a hard copy for currnecy. They did this because the way the currency was being made was confusing. -
Stamp Act
Colonists were forced to pay taxes on all printed materials such as newspapers. This angered many colonists and led to a protest -
Quartering Act
Britian made colonists pay for taverns, inns, vacant buildings, and farms for British soldiers. They also had to pay for food and drinks. -
Stamp Act Congress
Bill of things that can and cannot be done by the colonists. -
Declaratory Act of 1766
This act was to force people into remaining loyal to the king and Parliment. -
Townshend Act of 1767
