  • Proclamation of 1763

    Proclamation of 1763
    It made a offical in 1763 when the British deafeated the French in war, It removed barriers for the colonies. It expanded British colonies to Canada. All of the rivers that led to the Alantic were off limits to the colonist except the Ohio River and territory from Ohio and Mississpi. This was leading to a Revolotion because the British were putting rules to colonists.
  • The Sugar act of 1764

    The Sugar act of 1764
    This was a law that was put on the colonist so the merchants had to pay tax when they sell sugar,coffe, and types of wines. They also lowered taxes on mollases. This reduced the colonies' trade. This is important becuase since they rose the taxes on the sugar the colonist were angry about the tax and they did not have as much money as they used to.

    The colonies lost all their gold mines and silver mines. This gave the colonies not a lot of valuable resources left. This caused trade between the colonies and Great Britain to very common to not very common. This caused the colonies to have no money so they prited their own. The Currency ACt was an act that did no let the colonist to print their own money and control the spending. This was important because it showed that the colonist could figure problems out by themselves.

    The first stamp act bill was writen on Febuary 6 of 1765 written by George Grenville,but it was denied. Then he tried again and got it passed by the Lords on March 8th and then the King ordered the act to activated a couple of weeks later. The bill was put on the colonist so they had to opay a tax for paper, stamps, and other paperr products. This was import for the revolution because it was the first a big tax put on the colonist to that the British were the biggere dogs in terms of government.

    This event was when the act when the British put taxes to help the British army. The taxes were put on various items. The tax help the British army supply quarters and carriages for marches in battle. the bad part was that sometimes the colonist had to provide food and other "needed" items. This was important to the revoloution because this showed the colonist that they didn't need the British stealing their money and supplies.

    The colonist were not happy about the sugar and stamp act. Then James Otis stepped up it the colonies and ordered a meeting with the Brtitish King and the Parliment. This was important to the Revoulotionary War because the colonist finnaly stand up the British.

    This act was to make the colomnies and the king or British together or more like eachother. This act involved British Custom supervisors to try to make the coloinies life more like the British. This was important to the rovoluotionary was because it showed that the British were taking precations with the colonist.
  • Townshend Act

    Townshend Act
    This was tax on glass, paint, oil, lead, paper, and tea. Then the Coloist had enogh of the British Tax and the Boston people started not to import. Then the word spread and all of tghe colonies were doing this. Then British trade dropped. This is important to the Rovolutionary War because it one of the forst boycotts that most of the colonies provided in.
