    The Proclamation Act of 1763. This act imposed that the American colonist were prohibited from migrating west into the new land. However this act did establish four new colonies. The colonist responded by ignoring the rules of the Proclamation act.

  • Sugar Act

    Sugar Act
    The Sugar Act of April 5, 1764. This act imposed that the tax on molasses is lowered by half. Redusing it from six pence a gallon to only three. This caused a decline of rum in the colonies. The act was supposed to reduce trade between the Maderia, and the Azores, the Canary Islands, and the French West Indies (Guadelupe, Martinique, Santo Doming). The whole situation disrupted the colonial economy. The amount of curency for the colonies was also reduced. Causing the Stam Act revolt.

    The Currecny Act of September 1, 1764. The act impossed taht any issue of new bills or reissues of existing currency is prohibited. In response to this the colonist protested. However they did suffer a trade deficit with Great Britan.

    The Stamp Act of Febuary 17, 1765. This act was to imposs Great Britains government authority of the colonies. The colonist responded to the act by revolting.

    Quartering Act
    The Quartering Act of March 15, 1765. The act imposed that the american colonist had to provide housing and provisions for the British Soldiers. The colonist responded by protesting, threatning to kill the king, killing some of the soldiers, refusing to house the soldiers, feed them, and give there cloths and beds.

    This act was by the colonist as a form of unified reblion. "No taxation without representation!" was a chant shouted in rebelion. That was how the colonist responded to this act.
  • Declaratory Act

    Declaratory Act
    The Declaratory Act of March 18, 1766. This act was imposed to better secure the dependency of his Majesty's dominions in America upon the crown and parliament of Great Britain. The colonist did not litsen to what they where told to do. The colonist also protested with ferocity.
  • Townshend Act

    Townshend Act
    The Townshend Act of Mid Summer, 1768. This act imposed taxes on glass, paint, oil, lead, paper, and tea. The colonist complained and protested because of this and all the other acts. They just about had it with the British. They hated this act in a special way because they needed this stuff to be imported cause they could not make it by themselves.
