  • French and Idian War

    French and Idian War
    The French and Idian War was fought to see who was had a stronger power in North America between France and Britian. Each side relying on their colonists and Idians to help fight the war. It was one of the smaller wars that helped lead into the revolution war.
  • Proclamation of 1763

    Proclamation of 1763
    At the end of the French and Idian War the British issued a proclamation, it mainly intended to conciliate the Idians by checking the enchrochment of settlers on their lands. It lead into the American Revolution because the law started and you could not move west of the Appalanchian Mountains but settlers ignored and moved west anyway.
  • Stamp Act

    Stamp Act
    The Stamp Act of 1765 was the first internal tax levied directly on American Colonist by the British government. This was mostly lead by middle or upper class people the sons of liberty helped push the colonies along the path towards the American Revolution.
  • Townshend Acts

    Townshend Acts
    The Townshend Acts were imposed duties on glass, lead, paints, paper, and tea imported into their colonies. Then they had tax on these things this lead into temporary truce between the two sides in the years before the American Revolution. They boycotted and did not buy any of theses things so they only put tax on tea and thats when they pushed tea off ships and didn't want them imported into the America.
  • Boston Massacre

    Boston Massacre
    A group of British soldiers came to support a sentry who was being pressed by a huge crowd let loose a volley of shots. After wards this helped spark a rebellion in some of the British American colonies which had affect on the American Revolution.
  • Tea Act

    Tea Act
    The acts purpose was not to raise revenue to the colonies but to bail out the floundering East India Company, a key factor in the British economy. The Americans threw tea off ships to show that they were not buying any tea and floundering out East India Company. This act lead to the American Revolution because the British and East Inida were not to happy with it.
  • Boston Tea Party

    Boston Tea Party
    The Boston Tea Party was an act as a protest against taxation. On the night of December 16th 1773 Sammuel Adams and the Sons of Liberty loaded three ships of tea and threw off 342 chests of tea overboard. This brought the two sides closer and the had an impact into the American Revolution.
  • Intolerable Acts

    Intolerable Acts
    The colonies were seperated and then the British passed several acts aimed to bring back the colonies into the submission of the King. When the King set the taxes and everyone was unhappy about it and started boycotting. Then, the King was tired of it so he softened up and tried to bring the colonies back together but some people were still mad about this which helped lead to the American Revolution.
  • Lexington and Concord

    Lexington and Concord
    The British were marching to concord. They were marching on concord as they passed through lexington a shot was fired. This slowed the British down and gave the Americans in concord to get ready and they made the British retreat. This is when Paul Revere went on his famous ride and said "the British are coming". This kicked off the American Revolution as the British were coming to attack the Americans.
  • Declaration of Independence

    The Americans were fighting for their rights as subjects of the British crown. Then, the Revolutionary war happend. Movement for independence from Britian had grown. They had to vote on this issue. The Americans won and they wrote a large letter of Decleration of Independenece now we celebrate it as the fourth of July.
