The French and Indian War finally comes to an end, as the Treaty of Paris is signed, giving the English much more land. The colonists have more land, but can't go into it, because of the English crown.

The native Americans are furious. They were not part of the Treaty of Paris, so they consider the English's land their land. Pontiac, their leader, leads a rebellion and eventually gets the English to sign a treaty giving them the land until they are able to access it.

The British make the colonists even more angrier. They start putting stamps on sold printed paper like newspapers, creating the first direct tax.

The English have put even more security reinforcement in the colonies, so their soldiers need living space. The Quartering Act of 1765 forced the colonists to give some of their living space to the British soldiers. They also needed to give them basic living conditions, like food, water and alcohol.

Law passed by British Government claiming rights to tax colonies. This was passed the same day of the repeal of the Stamp Act.

British government pass four acts, and they say they have the right to do it to punish the colonies. Taxes: lead, paper, glass, paint, tea. This lead to boycotts by the sons and daughters of liberty.
