  • French and Indian War

    It was also known as the Seven Year's War, and dealt with a conflict between Britain and France. When France expanded to the Ohio River, A series of battles began Britain and France. France won the war with the help of their Indian allies.
  • The Proclamation of 1763

    The Proclamation of 1763 was made in (you guessed it) 1763. It separated the British Colonies from the Atlantic Coast. It also forbid private citizens from buying or making any agreement with the natives. A desire for good farmland caused many colonists to deny the proclamation.
  • The Sugar Act

    British Legislation aimed at ending a sugar smuggling trade.
  • Stamp Act of 1766

    Britain Government official set up a direct taxation on of all newspapers, cards, dice , etc.
  • Townshend Acts of 1767

    The Townshend Acts of 1767 were a series of measures that taxed imported goods to America colonies. The America Colonies did not enjoy this very much.
  • The Boston Massacre

    The Boston Massacre was very brutal. It started as a street brawl between America Colonists and a lone British Soldier, but quickly escalated into full-blood manslaughter.
  • Tea Act

    The Tea act was one of several measures imposed by the American Colonies. This wasn't to lower tax, but to bail out an Eastern India Company, a key factor for the British.
  • Boston Tea Party

    This was a protest against Britain by the American Colonies. They dumped and destroyed over 3 bags of tea into the harbor, as an act for an Eastern India Company.
  • Intolerable Acts

    This was a way of punishing the America Colony that retaliated them for the Boston Tea Party, but it ended up triggering outrage.
  • 1st Continental Congress

    This was a meeting of 12 of the 13 colonies. The plan was to create an equal union, but others rejected it.
