    The French and Indian War

    It was 7 year long war against British and French. The war had started because both the French and the British to see who could have more rule over North America. The French also had good relations with a nearby Indian settlement, so French gained an ally in the war. In 1757 They appointed a new British leader named William Pitt who would appoint new military generals. Which led to the French downfall. The war officially ended when the treaty of Paris in 1763.

    The proclamation of 1763

    The proclamation was signed for the Native Americans to help them keep their land. It was also signed to keep out invasion of white settler attack. It created a boundary, known as the proclamation line, separating the British colonies on the Atlantic coast from American Indian lands west of the Appalachian Mountains.

    On April 5th 1764 the British parliament passed a modified version of the sugar and molasses act. The British highly enforced a tax on Sugar.

    The British parliament created the stamp act in 1765. To help pay for British troop's food and supplies by forcing the colonists to pay a tax represented by a stamp on papers, documents or playing cars to show that they had payed the tax.

    This was yet another new tax on the American colonists created by the British. Which would takes any new supplies or goods imported to the Americas. Which was designed to raise revenue for the British empire.
