    The French and Indian war
    The French and Indian war was a conflict between Great Britain and France. This war was fought on the North American Territory. This was to provide Great Britain enormous territorial gains in North America. The war pitted France, French colonists, and Native allies against the British.
  • The Proclamation of 1763

    The Proclamation of 1763
    The proclamation was a boundary marked by the British. The line was marked in the Appalachian Mountains at the Eastern Continental Divide. This line prohibited the American Colonists From settling on lands west from where they were. This was because it was acquired by the French after the French and Indian war.

    The sugar was Tax that the British did on the colonists because the British lost a lot of money from the French and Indian war. The colonists were not very happy because they were not getting representation but they were still getting taxed, so they began to protest saying " no taxation without representation."
  • The Stamp Act of 1766

    The stamp act was tax on the colonists. This tax was on everything paper. When you purchased a paper item you would get a stamp to prove that you got taxed but even the stamp was taxed. The colonists did like this so they continued to protest and sometimes they used violence. This acted was Repealed on March 18 1766
  • Townshend Acts of 1767

    This was another tax on the colonists to make up for the Stamp act. This tax was on glass, lead, paints, paper, and tea. The British did this to earn revenue from the French and Indian war, but the colonists were still not getting any representation.

    The Boston Massacre was a riot the was started by the colonists. The colonists were throwing snowballs and other items and the British soldiers. One of the soldiers ended up firing the gun killing five colonists. The colonists called it the Boston Massacre to make it seem worse than it really was.
  • Tea act

    This was an act to raise the price of tea and lower the quality of the tea. To avoid paying for over priced tea Colonial merchants smuggled tea to avoid paying the British tea tax.

    Because the colonist were losing so much money from the tax on tea, the colonists disguised as Indians and got on a British ship full of tea. They threw the tea overboard into the bay.
  • Intolerable Acts

    The Intolerable Acts were punitive laws passed by the British Parliament after the Boston Tea Party. It was there to Punish the colonists after what they did in the Boston Tea Party.

    The First Continental Congress Convened in Carpenters' Hall in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Delegates from 12 of Britain's thirteen American colonies met to discuss America's future under growing British aggression.
