The Sugar Act was the first ever tax imposed by the British parliament to the American colonies. The purpose of it was to tax the colonists over sugar so that the King could gain money from those taxes that were being imposed. -

The British parliament passes the Tea Act of 1773. They required that the colonists were allowed to only purchase tea from them. -

The Boston Tea Party was caused by the British Parliament wanting to tax the colonists without any representation which made the colonists angry since they thought it was unfair. -

The Intolerable Acts were a series of actions by the British government was in direct response to the Boston Tea Party. -
The Battles of Lexington and Concord
The Battles of Lexington and Concord were the first battles of the American Revolution. British troops went and stole the colonists' materials. -
The Olive Branch Petition
The Olive Branch Petition was a letter that the colonists wrote for the King. It was the last attempt for war to be prevented. Unfortunately, the king declined their offer so it made them go to war.
