The French and Indian war began because of the specific issue of whether the Ohio river valley was a part of the British empire. The British fought the war and took control of the lands that were claimed by France but after the war Britain suffered from major debt from the war. -

The intolerable acts were where four laws were passed by the British parliament to punish the colony of Massachusetts for the Boston tea party. The four acts were the Boston Port Act, the Massachusetts Government Act, the Administration of Justice Act, and the Quartering Act. -

The first continental congress convenes was were delegates from each of the colonies except for Georgia was fighting the Native American uprising and was dependent on the British for military. -
