  • French and Indian war

    The French and Indian war started 1753 and ended in 1763 so it lasted 9 years. It happened because people were unsure if the upper Ohio River valley was the included with the British empire so they went to war.

    This event was started because it was the response to Pontiac's Rebellion, which was a a rise of rebellion that was led by the Native American Chief Pontiac of the Ottawa tribe.
  • The Sugar Act

    The caused this was the British wanted to stop the trade of sugar and molasses from the French and Dutch West Indies to fund a enlarged British Empire.
  • Stamp Act of 1766

    The British Parliament passed the stamp act after 7 year war with France to help replenish their finances
  • Townshend Acts of 1767

    The Townshend act was used to help pay for the officials salary such as judges and governors
  • The Boston Massacre

    The Boston massacre happened just as an argument between British Private Hugh White and a few colonists outside the Custom House then the argument started to escalate as many more colonist started to gather they started to harass and harass and throw sticks and snowballs at Private White.
  • Tea Act

    This act granted the company the right to ship its tea directly to the colonies without having to go to England first.
  • Boston Tea Party

    It was a pollical protest that occurred at Griffin's Wharf in Boston, Massachusetts. the colonists were frustrated and angry Britain for imposing “taxation without representation”
  • Intolerable Acts

    The intolerable acts were laws that were inflicting jury on people it was after the Boston tea party and they made the laws for for their defiance in the Tea Party.
  • 1st Continental Congress

    The 1st Continental Congress which was people from the colonies in reaction to the Coercive Acts passed from the British government.
