  • The Birth Of Wilbur Wright

    Wilbur Right was born on April 16,1867 in Millville Indiana.
  • The Birth of Orville Wright

    On August 19, 1871, Orville right was born in the the town of Dayton, Ohio.
  • Wright Brothers Inspiration

    In 1878, The Wright brothers father, Milton Wright brough them home a toy helicopter that flew on rubber band power. The toy evuntally broke, but this is gave them the intrest in powered flight.
  • The Wright Brothers Cycle Co.

    The Wright brothers started there first business in 1892, which was a bycicle/repair shop. This gave them experience that would help them with there first airplane.
  • Starting to Work on the Airplane

    Otto Liliens death and the successful unmaned powered flights by Samuel Langley inspired them to start working on their airplane. The right brothers started making airplane parts and creating airplane in their free time at the bicyle shop.
  • Serious Aviation Business

    In 1899, Wilbur Wright wrote to the Smithsonian for literature. Wilbur Started worikng on the plane and Orville started working with him shortly. They tested wing warping, wing control/rotation and ailerons on a 5 foot glider. This test results were great and they started to work on powered flight.
  • Going to Kittyhawk

    The Wright Brothers tested their first flight at Kittyhawk, NC. The flight lasted only 10 seconds but it proved that there design was working.
  • Improve in Design

    The Wright Brothers improved there planes by creating a greate camber and lengthening its wingspand to 22 feet. After reviewing their previous flight statics and doing some more minor changes they prepared for next flight.
  • Turning in Flight

    After some last minute adjustments, they added a 32 foot wing, a carrige for the pilot and turning fins and stabalizers.
  • First in Flight

    On December 17, 1903, the gasonline engine powered plane took off from the snady shore of Kittyhawk and flew for 12 seconds before landing creating the first succesful manned heavier-than-air flight.
  • Wilbur Wright Death

    Wilber Wright fell ill and died from typhoid fever on May, 30 1912.
  • Oriville Wright's death

    Oriville deid on Jan 30, 1948 and did not test many more flights after Wilbur died.
