On March 29th, of 1974 President Richard Nixon announced an ending to the Vietnam war. He a televised speech and said, “end the war and bring peace with honor.” He thought ending the war was his success in the presidency. -

After the war ended the U.S destroyed the wall that separated Berlin. It was a symbol of the fall of the repressive East German communist government. Hitler was dead and Jews were free. -
Germany is reunited
This was the day Germany reunited after all the conflict. They joined the Democratic Republic. And five new Federal States on its former territory joined the Federal Republic of Germany. It was the born of a new Germany, reunited. -
Soviet Union Collapses (Establishment of the Russian Federation)
The president at the time, Mikhail Gorbachev, resigned his position as president of the Soviet Union. When he left, that left Boris Yeltsin as president of the newly independent Russian state. Russia after that had a clean start. The war was over.
