    The Molasses Act (Sugar Act of 1733)
    The Molasses Act laid prohibitive duties of six pence per gallon on molasses, nine pence per gallon on rum, and five shillings for every one hundred weight on sugar imported from non-British colonies into Great Britain's American mainland colonies.

    French and Indian War
    The French and Indian War was a conflict between the English and the French. Even though in the U.S we call it the French and Indian war, it really took place all over the world. It began when George Washington and his men attacked the French Ambassedor and his men. After the battle, a Native American knowm as Half Moon scalped all the injured Frenchmen, including the ambassedor. This led to the American Revolution Because it put England in debt, and they imposed taxes on the colonists.

    Proclamation of 1763
    The Proclamation of 1763 said that thde colonists couldn't expand territory west of the Ohio River. This was meant to make peace with the Native Americans.It worked, but it angered the colonists. this lead to the American Revolution because it started to anger some people.

    The Sugar Act put a tax on many things. It put a tax on sugar, certain wines, coffee, pimiento, cambric and printed calico. It also regulated the export of wood, and iron. It also called for the act to be strictly enforced. This led to the American Revolution because it angered colonists.

    The Stamp Act was annoying to the colonists. It put a tax on newspapers, books, court documents, and EVEN playing cards!!! This led to the American Revolution because it led to riots!

    The Quartering Act of 1766 was a amend of the Mutiny act. The Quartering Act of 1766 said that British solders could use any house in the colonies. General Gage asked parliment for the law so the colinists would have to pay for them. At first, the colonists refused to quarter the solders. But later, they decided to. The act didn't apply to people in Pennslyvania. This event led to the American Revolution because this led to the Quartering Act of 1774, which made people really angry!

    The Townshend Act taxed paper, led, glass, tea, and paint. The puorpse of this act was to pay judges, and governers' salaries. This led to the American Revolution because it angered colonists because they were upset that they had to pay for people the King could easily pay for.
  • Boston Massacre

    Boston Massacre
    The Boston Massacre occured when some British solders fired on a crowd. They fired because a gang of young boys had been throwing ice balls at them. Later, adults started beating them with clubs. They were also chanting "Fire!" In their defense, John Adams represented them in court. A day or two later. the court declared the solders innocent. This led to the American Revolution because it was one of the violent riots leading to it.

    To protest being under British rule, a band dressed as Natives went onboard a ship and locked the captain and crew in a room. They then dumped the tea into the harbor. this led to the American Revolution becase this led to th intolerable acts, and those made the colonists furious!

    The Boston act required that only British ships could get in and out of the harbor. The British blockaded the port, and confiscated all goods in the port.

    The Massachusetts Government Act stated that parliment could choose the officals in the goverment. It also forbade any town meetings unless givin the okay by the government. this led to the American Revolution because it was intolerable.

    Administration of Justice Act
    The Administration of Justice Act stated that any British officals and solders accused of crimes would be tried in court in England. All witnesses would have to go to England to participate in court, so it was thought that solders would get off easy.

    The quartering act of 1774 was a intolorable act. It was intolorable because it allowed the British army to use any building in the colonies. The British were also allowed to sieze any unused bulidings. If you refused to quarter the solders, they would probably burn your house down. This led to the American revolution because it made the colonists really mad. It especially made the colonists mad because it was one of the Intolerable Acts.

First, they disscused how Georgia wasn't able to send delegates to the meeting. They disscused what to do about the Intolerable Acts. They decided to send a letter to the king. They agreed to boycot British goods, and they agreed to meet again in May 1775 if the king refused to change his ways.

    The Quebec Act was a direct insult to the colonists. It took away some of their hard earned land by Parliment expanding Quebec to the Ohio River. It also gave Quebecians religious freedom. This led to the American Revolution Because it really insulted Americans.

    The Battle of Lexington and Concord, also known as the "shot heard around the world" was the first battle of the American Revolution. The funny thing is, no one who shot the first bullet of the war. The Americans were able to force the British to retreat.

    The Second Continental Congress met in Philadelphia with many issues to discuss. They had to start an army, write the Declaration of Independence, and establishing a new national government acceptable to each of the thirteen separate states.
  • Battle of Bunker Hil

    Battle of Bunker Hil
    The british landed on Breeds Hill on June 16, 1775 in an attempt to take Boston. Colonel William Prescot told the Americans to hold fire untill they could see the whites of the British solders' eyes in order to conserve ammunition. Althought the British won the hill, it was an empty victory. It was empty because the British lost one third of their army. this battle was important to the American Revolution because it showed the British tha the americans were ready to fight.

    The Declaration of Independence stated that we decided to break away from England. It also stated that all MEN were created equal. Unfortunately, it was not until very later that women, Native Americans, poor people, Blacks, and disabeled people were included in this.

    When Washington crossed the Delaware, many of his troops were shoeless. After succsecfully entering the Hessian camp, Washington and his men took many Hessians prisoners. This battle contributed to the American Revolution because it caused French allies to send support to the Colonists.
