    when British arrived at lexington, British Major John Pitcairn, ordered the British to put down their guns as the outnumbered minutemen ran for the hills. someone fired their gun but no one knows from which side, this was called "the shot heard round the world". The Americans won this battle, and it proved they were not just a band of organized rebels.

    Colonist were at the top of the hill while the British were at the bottom. Colonist didn't have much gun-power. Their famous quote was "Don't fire until you see the whites of their eyes", this was said to make every shot count.
