  • Proclamation of 1763

    This was to stop colonial expansion their was a line drawn that was by the Appalachian mountains. This also defined four new colonies..... The reason why they did this is so they know what land is theirs
  • The Sugar Act

    This would raise revenue on molasses. This Act would be passed by the Parliament of Great Britain.
  • The Currency Act

    This Act protected British merchants and creditors from being paid in depreciated colonial currency. This also regulated paper money issued by the colonies of British America. This also created tension between the colonies, and Great Britian.
  • The Stamp Act

    This imposed a direct tax by the British Parliament in the colonies in America. The stamp act was printed materials were legal documents, magazines, newspaper, and many more. This was to help pay the stationed troops In North America after the victory of the British in the seven years war. The colonists considered the stamp act as a violation of their rights as englishmen to be taxed without their consent.
  • Quartering Act of 1765

    This was a act that the British passed.This was for the American colonies, this would provide the British soldiers with any needed housing, they can can in the Americans houses. The colonists also had to provide food for any of them in the area.
  • Stamp Act Congress

    People met in New York to talk about the tax on things that British had started the stamp act, which was going to start on November 7. They held a meeting in New York because they didn't want the Stamp Act.
  • The Declaratory Act

    This was an act to repeal the stamp act of 1765. This happened because the Stamp act was boycotting the British trade and used the declaration to justify the repeal.
  • The Boston Masacre

    This is caused because support crown-appointed colonial officials attempting to enforce unpopular Parliamentary legislation.
  • Boston Tea Party

    People where disguised as native Americans. They boarded a ship at the Boston Harbor loaded with tea, and it was three boats. They dumped all the tea overboard. The reason why they did this is because Britian was pricing the tea with too high of a tax, and the people were mad.
  • Quartering Act of 1774

    This was a act that the British passed. They made this act because of the reaction / effect of the Boston Tea Party. This Quartering Act would update the Quartering Act of 1765. The new Quartering Act allowed a governor to house soldiers in other buildings, like barns, and inns. If they weren't provided with a place to stay.
  • The Intolerable Acts

    The Intolerable Acts was a series of laws passed by the British Parliament. These laws were relating to the Boston Tea Party. It was meant to punish all of the colonists for all the money that was thrown / wasted when they threw the tea off the harbor. The acts also took Massachusetts self-government and historic rights.
  • Battle of Lexington and Concord

    This will be the first battle in the Revolutionary War, that would start the Revolutionary War. Lexington and Concord were the destinations of where the battles would take place. In Lexington, they would capture the colonial leaders Sam Adams, and John Hancock. Then, they will go to Concord.
  • Battle of Bunker Hill

    The colonial forces was going to send troops out to occupy the hills outside of the city. The British was alerted and they then attacked them. The British will win this battle.
