    Winner Of Lexington- British
    Significance:
    Battle was the first fought by the patriots against the British, were major warfare occurred. Winner of Concord- Patriots
    Significance: By attacking the British the patriots had committed themselves to warfare, and made their intentions very clear.
  • Bunker Hill

    The British Won
    They enflickted huge casualties
    Patriots retreated from running out of supplies
  • Dorchester Heights

    Patriots Won because they scared the other side off by having cannons and they didn't fire a shot
  • Declaration of Independence

    Significance- The Declaration stated that the colonies were free and independent states, absolved of all allegiance to England.

    Significance- It was the first real battle.

    Significance- the main attack was Maine by 2400 Washington soldiers.

    Significance- The troops from both sides trained hard. Patriots spent winter there.

    The battle essentially ended the Revolutionary War. With the help of the French, the colonists surrounded the British at Yorktown on land and water and forced the British army there to surrender.

    Ended the American Revolutionary War between Great Britain on one side and the United States of America and its allies on the other.
