    inforced by king george, after great britain's confiscation of french land in north america. this lead to a crackdown of western expansion because it where now classified as native reserves west of the appalachian mountains.
  • Treaty of 1763

    ended the french and indian conflict. it was between britain spain and france. this ended military threats to the british colonies in north america
  • Stamp act

    direct tax on north american british colonies, this means that printed items will be taxed and stamped. this would not settle well for the colonist.
  • Boston massacre

    a conflict between colonist and british soldiers.on a night in boston in the year 1770 tensions where on the rise, a group of colonist where provoking soldiers. they had enough of the mob and shot and killed 5 people. this created tons of tension in the area between the 2 sides.
  • Boston Tea Party

    protest against the Tea Act which lead to high tax on tea, protestors dumped 342 tea barrels and boxes into the harbor. the group behind this was the "Sons Of Liberty"
  • Intolerable Acts

    laws to punish the colonist for the "boston tea party". troops where no allowed to stay in colonist homes without consent and could demand food at any time. this was called the quartering acts and it applied to all colonies.

    this battle took place in Bunker Hill in Charlestown, Massachusetts. it was between the british and colonist. the ending result of the conflict was a british occupation of the area.

    in 1776. notable members of the colonies and government officials. came together to write a document to great britain declaring that they will be breaking away from them. this lead to the creation of the united states of america.

    lasted 18 days, very important battle in the war. ended the sagarotor campaign which lead to a united states victory.

    A camp that housed soldiers in pennsylvania george washington was in charge. the encampment lasted 6 months until the colonist and military fled the area.
