Sugar Act
The Sugar Act was a revenue raising act for Britain that charged a 3 pence tax for each gallon of foreign molasses (not purchased form Britain. The colonists were outraged with this act. The British government eventually repealed the act due to all of the anger from the colonists in 1765.
