A protest done by the Sons of liberty due to the anger because of Taxation without representation. 342 chest of tea were dumped into the harbor. -

After the Boston Tea party the British wanted to reassert their authority over the Colonist, so they passed the Coercive acts which consisted of Boston Harbor Bill which closed Boston ports, Massachusetts Gov Act which replace the elected Governor with an appointed one, Administration Of Justice Act which allowed British Officials who were tried of Crimes to be tried in England and Finally the Quartering Act which allowed unoccupied buildings to be used as housing for British troops. -
The Quartering Act
The Quartering Act needed to provide housing and supplies for the troops of the British living there after the French and Indian War. -
The Battles of Lexington and Concord
A confrontation on the Lexington town green started off the fighting, and soon the British were hastily retreating under intense fire. Many more battles followed after, and in 1783 the colonists won their independence.
