My first memory of reading a book was with my Grandma Beulah. We were sitting on the screen porch and she read me Bible stories from my first Bible story book from my aunt and uncle.

My first ever chapter book was read to me in kindergarten by Mrs. Cindy. It was Magic School Bus, and it was so exciting. This sparked my interest in books, and I began to try reading them on my own.

I discovered Eric Carle in my animal loving stage. These were my favorite books and I could read them all on my own. These were the first books I could read independently.

I started homeschooling in 2005 until 2009. I had to pass a test to get back into public school, and it turned out that I was on a high school reading level thanks to my boring homeschool books.

In sixth grade I also discovered my most favorite book, The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe. My dad bought me the whole series of books and they are still my favorite to this day.

My first long book that I read on a fourteen hour drive to Michigan was The Yearling. I was so proud when I accomplished this big read.

I was so excited when the Hunger Games came out and I read the whole entire series. They were my favorite books in junior high.
