I started reading and collecting comic books with my friends in elementary school. My first job at twelve years old was working in a comic book store for store credit.

I started reading my mom's Stephen King books and have been ever since. I really enjoy this genre of fiction for personal reading and reading this material at a younger age helped build up my reading skills because I had to find ways to define these larger more adult words.

This begins the period of working low paying jobs and living hand to mouth. I read a lot of different manuals on various equipment, sales strategies and the such. The classes and books regarding sales did help improve my active listening skills which has been beneficial in dealing with clients and co-workers.

It took me over 10 years but I finally received my Associate Degree in the Administration of Justice from Los Angeles Valley College. I found these books and courses interesting which kept me engaged in my studies which has led to a better career.

I bought this book in Costco and it introduced me to the author Bernard Cornwell and the Historical Fiction genre. These types of stories are now my stories of choice for personal reading because they intertwine fictional characters into historical periods. I love reading about History so I find these books very interesting.
